abstract = "The creation and/or adaptation of a database to be used in a
network analysis needs a special care with the topology of the
elements for this network becomes in fact optimized. This process
takes time and must be done manually. The objective of this study
was to identify the impediments of the use of a network analyst
with concomitant suitability of the roads lines, both from the
topological point of view as well as from the spatial, for
generation of optimal routes between the sources of raw materials
and packing units of KLABIN S.A, Santa Catarinas unit. We also as
generating driving instructions for major safety and guidance of
the drivers. The database preparation phase identified obstacles
and peculiarities for the use of the extension and allowed the
exclusion of non-existent lines and the creation of the lines
still unmapped. The driving instructions were generated correctly,
stating the modeling of the attributes was done correctly. The
routes generated for the Distance and Time attributes were
satisfactory for both, with and without the use of simulated
barriers. The information generated can be more refined and
reliable according to the spatial accuracy level of the lines that
make up the shapes and the type of information in the database.",
